Have you ever looked at a picture of yourself and was shocked at your appearance? That could be because the mirrored reflection that you are used to seeing isn’t the same as the camera’s photograph. Mirrors show a flipped version of yourself that tones down the harshness of your asymmetries. Cameras can also distort our image by their angles and proximity of the camera lens to our faces. So how can we see an accurate image of ourselves?
