Today I will be reading the Proclamation given by Theodore Roosevelt in 1942 at the request of congress made on December 26, 1941 when America had just joined the fight for liberty in World War 2. In this proclamation, two days are set aside for prayer and thanksgiving because in times of great need we should give great effort in prayer.
